Welcome to Magic Story. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Magic Story mobile application.

The app is operated by an individual developer based in Japan.

Because the app is designed for use by or with children, we take privacy seriously and comply with applicable children's privacy laws, including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).

2. Information We Collect

• Account Information (OAuth Sign-In):
  The app supports sign-in using Google and Apple accounts (OAuth). We may receive limited account information such as a unique user ID and, if provided by the platform, your email address. This information is used only for account management and is not used for advertising or shared with third parties.
• Child Profile Data:
  You may create child profiles that include a first name and age. This information is stored in our database (Firebase) solely to personalize story content.
• Story Data:
  AI-generated stories, images, and audio files created within the app are stored in our cloud storage and associated with your account.
• Subscription Data:
  If you subscribe, purchase information is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may collect anonymized purchase data.
• Usage Data:
  We may collect anonymized usage information (e.g., features used, app performance) via Firebase Analytics to improve the app. This data is aggregated and not linked to personally identifiable information.
• Device Data:
  Basic device information (device type, OS version) may be collected automatically for debugging and compatibility purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and personalize the storytelling experience
• Manage subscriptions and verify access rights
• Store and sync user-generated content
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising purposes.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
• We do not require children to provide personal information to use the app.
• Child profile data entered by a parent or guardian is used only to generate personalized stories.
• This data is never shared with third parties.
• We do not display behavioral advertising in this app.

Parents or guardians may request deletion of all data associated with their account by contacting us.

  We do not send any personally identifiable information to OpenAI. All requests are limited to story generation purposes only.

• All data is stored on Firebase servers using industry-standard security measures.
• User-generated content is accessible only to the account that created it.
• Payment information is not stored by us and is handled by platform providers.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

• Data is retained as long as your account is active.
• Users can request deletion of their account and all associated data.
• Requests can be made via email or through in-app support (if available).
• We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA)

• GDPR (EU Users): You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data.
• CCPA (California Users): You have the right to know what data is collected and request deletion.
